Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This policy describes what IsraCast (isracast.com) collects when you visit the site, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only.

The short version

  • We show no advertising and run no advertising or remarketing trackers.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your personal information.
  • Analytics run only if you agree to them. If you decline, they are never loaded at all.
  • The only personal information you actively give us is what you type into the contact form.

Cookies

The site uses two kinds of cookie, and only one of them is set before you choose.

  • cookieConsent — set by this site, kept for 365 days. It records nothing except your answer to the cookie banner, so that we do not ask again on every page. It is set only once you press Approve or Decline.
  • _ga and _ga_GME63RWPY5 — set by Google Analytics, kept for up to two years. These are set only if you press Approve.

If you press Decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded on any page and no analytics cookies are created. There is no “anonymous” or cookie-less fallback measurement of visitors who decline — declining means you are not measured.

Analytics

If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (property G-GME63RWPY5) with Google Consent Mode v2. We use it to see which articles are read and how people find the site. In practice we see aggregate figures: pages viewed, approximate geographic region, browser and device type, and the site or search that referred you. We do not use it to identify individual readers, and we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or remarketing.

Google processes this data as our data processor. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

The contact form

The form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, subject and message. That information is sent to us by email so we can reply. It is not stored in the website’s database, is not added to any mailing list, and is not passed to anyone else.

Other services your browser contacts

Two parts of the page are served from other companies’ servers, so those companies necessarily receive your IP address and browser user-agent whenever a page loads. Neither is used by us to track you:

  • Adobe Fonts (Typekit) — supplies the typefaces the site is set in.
  • Google Hosted Libraries — supplies the jQuery JavaScript library.

Links to other sites

We link out to YouTube, PayPal, Facebook, SoundCloud and to the sites of people and organisations we cover or who support us. These are ordinary links, not embedded players or widgets — nothing from those services is loaded into our pages, and they set no cookies while you are on isracast.com. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Donations made through the Support page are handled entirely on PayPal’s own site; we never see or store your payment details.

What this site does not do

  • Comments are closed sitewide, so there is nothing for us to collect there.
  • Reader registration and accounts are disabled — there is no way to create one.
  • There is no newsletter or mailing list.
  • No advertising, ad networks, or social-media tracking pixels of any kind.
  • No payments are taken on this website.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider’s web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, time of request, the page requested, and browser user-agent. These are kept for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, and are not combined with analytics or used to build a profile of you.

Your choices

  • Change your mind about analytics. Delete this site’s cookies in your browser settings and the consent banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently.
  • Block cookies generally. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. The site works normally without them.
  • Ask about your data. If you have written to us through the contact form, you can ask us for a copy of that correspondence or ask us to delete it.

Children

This site is a general-audience news publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
