Jewish Start-Up: Social Network Fundraising for Jewish Non-Profits
Chanan Ziderman, owner of a long established consultancy company to non-profits, and founder & CEO of Jewish Projects, launched the Sixth Chanukah Candle Campaign for Jews around the world at the General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America in Washington D.C., USA, on November 10.
Jewish Projects is a targeted fundraising portal and mobile application for 20 various non-profit organizations, based on social networks (Facebook and Twitter) and at www.JewishProjects.org, and constantly updated with our activities in Jewish projects that require funding.
The platform was built to be a bridge between global Jewry and non-profits in Israel and around the world, with six optional areas of support: welfare, education, Judaism & Tradition, art, outreach and others.
Chanan Ziderman – married + 4, lives in Kiryat Ono, Israel, graduate of Netiv Meir Yeshiva and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, has 20 years’ of experience in advertising, public relations, marketing, and customer management. In the last 15 years he has been focusing on fundraising for Jewish organizations, working with a team of eight professionals.

The world has changed and now uses mobile devices and social networks. “Almost nobody puts a check in the mail and waits for a tax-exempt receipt,” says Chanan Ziderman. “Today, if you want to make a difference, if you got up with a good feeling, if you want to help influence social change, if you want to support community challenges, all you need to do is get Facebook updates on non-profit activities, visit our website, or go into our App, choose a project and show your support to make a difference.”
