The international bodies expressed satisfaction about the cooperation of Israel in order to help the Palestinian civilians, in spite of the security risk that opening the checkpoint entails. It is important to point out that the IDF is fighting terror in the Gaza Strip, and not the civilian population. Airplanes with additional humanitarian aid for the citizens of the Gaza Strip are expected to land in Israel within the next few days.
